Let us bring you up to date with our Master Mathematician. On his return from his latest adventure our numerical nomad has his tale to tell.
In January I was selected to represent the UK in the Romanian Master of Mathematics Competition. Along with the five other UK team members and our leaders I travelled to Romania on the 26th February. The competition consisted of two four and a half hour examinations held on the 28th-29th February, each of which had three questions in increasing order of difficulty. I won a gold medal, putting me in the top ten participants in the competition. As a country the UK won one gold and two bronze medals and three honourable mentions. This places the UK in fifth position globally after Russia, Ukraine, USA and Bulgaria.
What an astounding achievement and here’s the proud owner of that well deserved gold medal.
