About the PTA

We are a group of enthusiastic parents / carers and teachers who want to support the school in providing an excellent education for our children. We are delighted to welcome new members, their fantastic ideas and help at events.

Our key aims

Helping the school to function at the heart of the community.

Raising funds for important projects in the school – we completed our first long-term project to raise money for the refurbishment of the school library in 2013.  We are now committed to improving the technical equipment and IT facilities in school.

The next big events!

–       The Twin Peaks of Cheshire Challenge – 20th September 2015 – information can be found on the Fundraising page or the PTA News page.

Our latest fundraising campaign!

Whether it’s your weekly online grocery-order, booking a holiday, music downloads, replacing your cooker, or buying presents: we are encouraging all school supporters to visit easyfundraising.org.uk before selecting your online retailer. By doing so, the retailer will donate a portion of your purchase price without actually amending the price for you (try it, it does work!). We can potentially raise thousands of pounds this way.

Some basic facts:

The PTA was re-established in 2008 thanks to the efforts of Mrs Moona Hussain. Our events include an annual Quiz night in October, Food Festivals, Ladies Evenings, and sponsored activities (Coast to Coast Bike ride in 2012, 3 Peaks Walk 2013, Running events in 2014). £25,000 has been given to the school since September 2011. We are a registered charity, and elected the following officers for 2014-15:

Chair – Matthew Connolly

Secretary – Jo Soliva

Treasurer – Cary O’Donnell
