The latest fundraising efforts by our highly proactive PTA involves a walking challenge. A message from the PTA explains the event:
Twin Peaks of Cheshire:
“We would be delighted if you could join the PTA on our sponsored walk of 20Km on 20th September 2015 to the summits of Shutlingsloe and Shining Tor. To take part as a walker or in a support role on the day, please mail firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be sent an information pack. All we ask is £5 per walking family to cover costs, and a big effort from you in raising sponsorship to help fund the next stage in improvements to the school’s provision of technology equipment. Sponsors can donate on Parent Pay, or at https://mydonate.bt.com/charities/sgspta. You can set up your own sponsorship page at the mydonate website. We look forward to hearing from you.”
The PTA do a wonderful job of providing opportunities for our school community to get together and support the school. During the year they organise a wide range of events that are open to all to attend. From quiz shows to discos; from walking to biking – the PTA would really appreciate and welcome any involvement and support.
Proceeds from previous challenge events – the Coast to Coast cycling and 3 Peaks challenge – raised valuable funding for our new library. At present the focus is on providing the school with new technology (so far the PTA have raised funds for a 3D printer and most recently assisted in the brand new suites of PCs for our IT rooms).
You can download the information packs for the Twin Peaks of Cheshire Challenge below. Please can you contact the school to let us know that you are intending to take part in the challenge. It will provide you with a great opportunity to get to know people involved in the school – whilst also raising valuable funds for the purchase of new technology within the school.
We look forward to hearing from you!
