| In
Year 7, all students study French as their first modern language.
In Year 8, most students go on to study Spanish as a second
foreign language. At the end of Year 9, most pupils will be
given the choice as to which language they will study to GCSE
Level. At SGS we encourage as many students as possible to
study both French and Spanish to GCSE Level. Language lessons
are full of pace and variety, and pupils are encouraged to
participate fully in all activities in the language being
taught.
