At SGS we welcome applications from students from schools both inside and outside the Borough of Trafford. Our Open Evening, which usually takes place in October, is a great opportunity for you to find out for yourself if SGS Sixth Form is the right place for you. Current students and their parents will be happy to answer any questions you may have, and of course, you can check out our great facilities.

Admissions requirements for students inside the Borough
Students from within the Borough will usually make contact with the School through their Careers Teachers. Students are finally accepted on the basis of GCSE qualifications and following an informal discussion with the Head of Sixth Form and careers staff, at the beginning of the autumn term.

Admissions Requirements for students outside the Borough
Students from outside the Borough should contact the School directly to arrange a preliminary interview with the Head of Sixth Form. The admissions requirements are at least 4 B’s and 1 C at GCSE, with B’s in the subjects to be studied at A/S Level, together with a good record of behaviour, attendance and punctuality.
