Develop your ICT skills at SGS Sixth Form

The main ICT resources in the school are accommodated in four specialist rooms, two of which are dedicated ICT teaching rooms,
with the remainder being a large room which can be booked for all subjects to use, and a drop-in area based in the school library.
Each teaching room has 32 workstations, the room available to all subjects has 38 workstations and there are 30 workstations situated in the library. All computers in these rooms are connected to the school network.

 

ICT A Level
Computing has run for many years and involves the study of the machine architecture, hardware, software, communication and networking. It also involves a substantial practical component that allows students to develop programming skills, although it can also be carried out using application software packages. Both AS and A2 levels are modular in nature.
