It has been wonderful  to see our Year 11 students back in school today to collect their GCSE results: so many happy smiling faces and rightly so!

A truly impressive set of results with 44% of students achieving Grade 7 and above in all of their GCSEs and almost 80% of entries awarded the top grades 7,8 or 9 .  In addition, 7 students achieved a full sweep of Grade 9s across their subjects!

Headteacher, Mr Mullins commented: ‘ I am so very proud of this year group who have just kept going with their hard work, determination  and resilience.  These fantastic results  are a real endorsement of the school’s approach to the Pandemic over the last two years and a reflection of the ambitions of our students and the amazing support provided by our staff and the parent body.  There is so much here for everyone to celebrate! A huge thank you goes to the staff  who prepared our students for the challenge of these exams with dedication and professionalism. As a school, we pride ourselves on the closeness of our community, the pastoral support and the guidance of both teachers and parent/carers.  I believe that it is this highly personalised approach to each student which has reaped such rewards. Well done to everyone! I look forward to seeing you all back here in September.’
