I just wanted to get back in touch as I saw the wonderful donation our driver came to pick up today and I just wanted to say thank you. We’re really grateful for your support – your kind donation will be a huge boost to our Christmas project helping families across Manchester and Salford.

Here at Wood Street, all hands are on deck for Christmas, as we opened our doors for toy distribution yesterday and already, plenty of families have passed through and collected gifts for their children. As such, we’re hard at work processing donations and making sure all our families feel prepared for the big day. It’s our busiest project, as we see a large proportion of the families registered with us in a very short amount of time – last year, we provided gifts for over 4000 children.

As we all know, Christmas doesn't necessarily come cheap, and the festive season can pile on additional financial pressures to parents who want their children to enjoy the holidays. Moreover, as the Cost of Living Crisis start to really impact people from all walks of life, we're seeing referrals from families that might not have previously needed help - a tough reminder of the difficulties faced by many families.

However, as a direct result of your generosity, we are able to provide support to alleviate this pressure and ensure that as many children as possible have the happy Christmas they deserve. Thank you for making this possible.

Although Christmas is a big project for us, we're busy for the rest of the year too! Would you be interested in hearing from us with updates on our projects via email?
