Year 11 Student Inspires Pupils at St Hilda Primary School

Joruna Inspires Future Aspirants at St Hilda's, Firswood

A fantastic visit took place this week when Joruna, a Year 11 student from Stretford Grammar School, returned to her former primary school, St Hilda's CE Primary School in Firswood. Joruna gave an engaging and enthusiastic presentation to the Year 5 pupils about what life is truly like in a grammar school environment.

A Glimpse into Grammar School Life

Joruna successfully enthused the pupils to aspire towards taking the challenging grammar school entrance exam. She shared her experiences, highlighting how moving to secondary school is a significant and exciting step on their educational journey. "I really loved telling the Year 5 pupils about my time here," Joruna shared. "Secondary school is definitely different, with more subjects and new people, but it's also so much more independent and exciting. I hope I showed them that taking the entrance exam is something worth aiming for, and that Stretford Grammar is a really supportive place to learn."

Celebrating St Hilda's Success

Stretford Grammar School wishes to acknowledge the wonderful work that St Hilda's CE Primary School does for its pupils. St Hilda's is well-known for creating a nurturing, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The school's commitment to academic excellence combined with strong personal development is evident in its confident, well-rounded pupils. Whilst visiting, it was clear that the warm and caring atmosphere was everywhere throughout the school. Both staff and students were extremely welcoming.
