Celebrating Creative Talent at Our GCSE Art Exhibition

The Atrium building at Stretford Grammar School is filled with colour and creativity on Wednesday 1st July, as the school hosts its annual GCSE Art Exhibition. Running from 4:30pm to 6pm, the event offers a dedicated showcase for the school's young artists to display their final examination pieces and coursework portfolios.

The exhibition marks the culmination of two years of intense dedication, focus, and skill development for the Year 11 cohort. Visitors can expect a diverse range of mediums on display, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed-media installations.

Parents, carers, staff, and members of the local community are invited to attend the showcase, which celebrates both the technical progress and the individual self-expression of the students.

Mrs Penny-Collings, Curriculum Leader for Art, shared her pride in the students' achievements:

"Our GCSE students work with immense focus and determination to bring their visual ideas to life. This exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity for the school community to see their talent firsthand and to celebrate the depth of their creativity."

Entry to the exhibition is free, and the event wraps up a significant milestone for our Year 11 artists as they complete their GCSE journey.
