The battle for the House Cup is officially underway at Stretford Grammar School with our very first House competition of the academic year: the Harvest Festival donation drive! On Monday, 5th October 2026, students across Alder, Sycamore, Hawthorn, Ash, and Oak have a fantastic opportunity to showcase their house pride while supporting a wonderful cause. We are joining forces with Lifeshare to help fight hunger across Manchester, and every single contribution can truly make a life-changing difference to those in need.

Getting involved couldn't be simpler, and every item brought in earns one valuable House Point, with the top-donating House taking the overall victory! Simply gather non-perishable goods—such as rice, pasta, canned meats and veggies, soup, cereal, pot noodles, biscuits, or bottled water—and drop them off on Monday morning between 8:20 am and 8:45 am. Make sure to bring your items strictly during this morning window so they count towards your House's total. Let’s rally together, show off our brilliant community spirit, and see which House will claim the first ultimate win of the year!
