A Level Success
It is with real pride that we announce another great year for A Level results at Stretford Grammar, celebrating the hard work and resilience of our students and the support and commitment of our staff.
Wonderful results:
- 39% of all grades at A*/A
- 70% of grades: A*- B
Out of 68 students, 15 students achieved all grades at A*/A with 7 students who achieved 2 grades at A*/A, including one student with 4 A* Grades, one with 3 A* and a Grade A and one with 3 A* Grades. In total, 10 students have achieved at least one Grade at A*.
Outstanding EPQ Achievement for Year 12.
Increasingly popular and successful, the Extended Project Qualification offers students the opportunity to research a topic of interest, independently producing a project and presentation which develops high level skills of analysis, review and evaluation.
53 students competed an EPQ:
- 40% Grade A*/A
- 72% Grade A* - B
Acting Headteacher, Mrs. Baxter:
I am so proud of our Year 13 students and their achievements this year; they showed incredible fortitude and resilience during the exam period and have been rewarded with an excellent set of results, enabling them to move forward onto their next stage, whether that be a university course or a Degree Level Apprenticeship.
This year group was very special to us all in school and we are so pleased to see them achieve such success in their A Levels, not only did they work hard and apply themselves with real determination, but they are an incredibly kind and compassionate group who represent the very best of our school and have so much to offer as they move into adult life.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the Sixth Form team, Mr. Marshall, Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Wheeler, for so expertly supporting and guiding our students, as well as all of our teachers, who have delivered their specifications so expertly and prepared students for the final exams so well. My gratitude also goes to our parents and carers who have supported the school so tangibly over the last few months – we have all really appreciated your messages and kind wishes.
Our Sixth Form embodies high academic standards and excellent outcomes, as well as incredible pastoral support and guidance, within an inclusive and uniquely harmonious whole school community.
