High Achievers Programme and HE+
- High Achievers Programme: Our bespoke High Achievers Programme supports students aiming for competitive courses such as Medicine, Dentistry and other highly selective degrees. This includes tailored guidance on work experience, admissions tests, personal statements and interview preparation.
- HE+ Programme (University of Cambridge): Separate to our High Achievers Programme, we also participate in the Cambridge HE+ programme, a year‑long initiative designed to help academically able students make competitive applications to highly selective universities. Through HE+, students access:
- University‑style lectures and seminars
- Academic extension beyond the A Level curriculum
- Guidance on research skills and university applications
- Opportunities to visit Cambridge and experience university life
Together, these programmes give ambitious students a powerful platform for progression to top universities, and apprenticeships.
Leadership, community and character
Our Sixth Form is not only about grades, it’s about growing as a person and a leader.
- Student Parliament: Students can take on leadership roles within our Sixth Form Parliament, shaping student voice, contributing to whole‑school initiatives, and developing confidence in public speaking, collaboration and decision‑making.
- New House System: Our newly launched house system builds a strong sense of community and healthy competition. Through inter‑house events, charity projects and academic and pastoral challenges, students form lasting connections and develop teamwork, resilience and pride in their house
-
Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award: Students have the opportunity to work towards the prestigious Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, developing resilience, independence and leadership through a programme of volunteering, physical activity, skill development and expedition. Recognised by universities and employers alike, the award enables students to challenge themselves, broaden their experiences and build confidence for life beyond Sixth Form.
Ofsted described our school as “An inspirational place to learn.” In the Sixth Form, that inspiration is lived out daily, through academic excellence, rich opportunities, and a culture that helps students discover what they are truly capable of.
