The main hall was transformed into the dining room of the Birling family home this week as Stretford Grammar School’s English department presented their annual performance of J.B. Priestley’s classic drama, An Inspector Calls, to Year 10.

A cherished Stretford Grammar tradition stretching back over a decade, the live performance offers Year 10 students a front-row seat to the themes of social responsibility, privilege, and tension that define their set GCSE text. Switching marking pens for dramatic monologues, staff delivered powerful, captivating performances that left the hall silent with suspense and thoroughly wowed the student audience.
