On Wednesday 7th October 2026, 100 students from our school, including 30 Year 13 students, 30 Year 12 students and 40 Year 11 students, took part in the UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge. This prestigious 90-minute competition is designed to stretch and inspire young mathematicians through a series of demanding problem-solving and critical-thinking questions. We are incredibly proud of every student who put themselves forward for this opportunity, demonstrating resilience, ambition and a willingness to embrace challenge. By choosing to take part, our students invested in their own mathematical development, applying their reasoning, creativity and perseverance to tackle unfamiliar and thought-provoking problems. Regardless of the outcome, their commitment and effort exemplify the positive attitudes and love of learning we strive to develop in all of our mathematicians.
