A 14 strong Year 7 squad took on the Sale Harriers Indoor Athletics event with great enthusiasm. There were medals galore as the event progressed, with Paddy Widdop claiming a Silver in the 800m. There were more fantastic performances on the track, with Glorianna Moynihan also taking Silver in the 200m ‘B’ race and Maddie Cookson taking Bronze in the 60m. The field events didn’t disappoint, with Emily Jenkins taking a Bronze in the High Jump (an activity she hadn’t attempted until the day of the event) and Sam Fletcher took Silver in the same event. Thomas Bancks brought home a Bronze in the long jump and the girls' relay narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing 4^th in the relay. The stand out performance came from Johnny Jones who finished with a Gold in the Shot Putt. He performed so well, others were watching and following his technique.
