Year 8: Team Work makes the Dream Work
The focus of this term’s drop down day for year 8 was teamwork and communication.
The Year 8 forms were mixed up and put into non-friendship groups and given a range of challenges to try and improve their interpersonal and communication skills. The focus was on using games and creativity to develop these team building skills. For example, they took part in a blindfold challenge where students had to be guided by their team members and they had to teach each other a new card game; they had to build kites and fly them. In anticipation of the forthcoming Paris trip, Miss Ashall ran a series of fun activities to help embed some useful French phrases. The weather stayed mostly dry so many of the activities took place outside, rather than in classrooms, which students particularly enjoyed.
