GCSE Overview

 

Results have been consistently strong over time, and we are delighted with the progress our students make. Our outcomes routinely compare favourably with national figures, with students achieving excellent levels of attainment and progress across a broad curriculum. In particular, our Attainment 8 (A8) scores reflect the high academic standards of the school and the breadth of success achieved by students across their qualifications.

Our 2026 results were our strongest ever and we were delighted to celebrate the achievements of our students on Results Day. Their endeavour, resilience and ambition were reflected in exceptional outcomes across a broad range of subjects, with students attaining the following results:

• 22% of all grades at Grade 9
• 49% of all grades at Grade 8 and above
• 71% of all grades at Grade 7 and above

Sixth Form Overview

Sixth Form outcomes remain consistently strong and compare favourably with national performance. Students achieve highly across a broad range of academic courses, reflecting effective teaching, strong pastoral support and a culture of high expectations. These outcomes enable a significant proportion of students to progress successfully to higher education, apprenticeships and employment, demonstrating the positive impact of the school's post-16 provision and guidance.

Students celebrated the following achievements on our 2026 Results Day:

• 39% of all grades at A*/A
• 70% of grades: A*- B

In addition, 53 students competed an EPQ:

• 40% Grade A*/A
• 72% Grade A* - B
